On leaving Bollywood
I left the industry even before Kal released. I was 26 years old. My reasons for leaving are too personal to disclose. The type of people I was around was not very good and I found it difficult to adjust. I was young and impulsive. When things were not going right, I thought of leaving.
The industry is more about business than talent. That upset me. I wanted to protect my happiness. But when a married woman leaves the industry, people start saying that the husband - renowned golfer Jyoti Randhawa -- is the culprit. They said that he did not allow me to work in films. But that was not the case. My husband has always supported me. That's why I have come back.
Now that I have a son, I need more family support to do the things I like.
