Ananth Mahadevan's earlier film, Victoria No 203 was a flop at the box office. But you did Aggar with him.
I don't think we should judge anyone by success or failure. Whatever work I have done with him on Aggar, I have enjoyed. He helped me a lot. We have had flops by superhit directors.
How was it working with Tusshar Kapoor and Udita?
They are warm and good human beings. When we heard the script, we were charged about it because all the three roles were performance-oriented ones. We felt that if we put our best effort, we could make a good film. We are happy with the final product.
How do you select your roles?
The story has to be appealling. The narration has to be interesting. It's like when you are reading a novel, you don't feel like to put it down because its so good. Similarly, when you are hearing a script, you should not feel bored. Besides that, your character has to excite you.
What are your forthcoming movies?
I finished shooting Nagesh Kukunoor's Bombay To Bangkok. It will release in November, after Om Shanti Om. This is Nagesh's first attempt at commercial movies. It has songs, dance, disco numbers, tragedy... The heroine is a Thai model, Lina Christianson. Om.
Then, there is Golmaal Returns. It will go on the floors in November.
There is a Shyam Benegal's comedy, Mahadev. It also stars Amrita Rao.
