How has the newfound fame affected you?

Not much. I'm the same person but people's reaction to me has changed. I've done things that I wouldn't have had the chance to do if it hadn't been for the success of Chak De. I got to visit the Wagah border and touch the gate.

What's next for you?

I'm doing two films -- one in Tamil and the other in Malayalam.

What do you make of the fans' reaction to you and the film?

It's been wonderful. People have been really sweet. A girl came up to me once and told me that she's always been sad about being short. But after seeing me in the film and after meeting me and releasing that I'm short too, it made her feel more confident about herself. It's always great to affect people in a positive way.
