Jab We met has a lot of inspirations -- 1934's It Happened One Night by Frank Capra starring Clark Gable Claudette, Walter Connoly, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi by Mahesh Bhatt starring Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt, Chori Chori (1956), Solva Saal (1958), A Walk In The Clouds (1995) and Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha (1998). Whew!
Jab We Met is directed by Imtiaz Ali and stars Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur.
It is a story of a girl who runs away from her home to marry her boyfriend. On the way, she meets another boy who promises to help her unite with her boyfriend. At first they can't stand each other but eventually, they fall in love.
But a promise is a promise, and the boy drops her off at her boyfriend's place. You'll just have to wait for film to release to find out what happens next.
