Writer and film-maker Wes Anderson's comedic drama The Darjeeling Limited about three bickering brothers whose life takes a dramatic turn for the better during a journey through Rajasthan opened the New York Film Festival on Friday.
Earlier, the film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival where Anderson said he believed that he could not have thought of a better place than India to make a film about a fractured family and the possibility of redemption for the three brothers who had not spoken to each other for a year before they embarked on a kind of pilgrimage in India.
