Now, a film on ITians

Director Vinayan's Hareendran Oru Nishkalankan? boasts of some curious facts. First, it marks the coming together of three actors, who were given crucial breaks in their careers by the director.

And second, the film's story has been credited to Vinayan's son Vishnu, an engineering student in the US.

Vishnu was at Virginia Tech when the infamous shootout took place, killing 31 people, one of whom was an Indian student.

Vishnu had planned a short film based on the incident but his father, Vinayan decided to base his new film on his son’s story which has an IT backdrop. VInayan's film of course takes place in Kerala. The plight of IT professionals in a film could well be a novel one and has great relevance in a state like Kerala.
