Velvet Goldmine director Todd Haynes decided that no actor could play Bob Dylan sufficiently enough, given the number of distinct phases the icon has had. So he cast Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale, Richard Gere, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger and -- last but by no means the least -- Marcus Carl Franklin to play different Dylans.
Holy Tambourine Men, this one's gonna be groovy.
