Southland Tales:
It's all well and good to be derisive of a film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and The Rock -- stars whose combined acting talent might make Keanu Reeves look emotive. But this is a film by Richard Kelly, a director who has waited about five years since he energised a generation with the trippy Donnie Darko.
Also, bizarre ensemble films that slot themselves midway between mystery and comedy, and end up being a musical as well, gotta be something, eh?
