The man behind Mozhi

Are you in awe of him?

Come on, he is a guy who won a National Award and has shaken hands with the President!

But I became his friend. There is something about the man that will make you want to listen to him. He is very passionate about cinema. As a human being also, he is wonderful. Though he has very little time for himself, he enjoys life to the fullest. Sometimes, he makes me feel old!

Though there is a considerable age gap, both of you are friends. The chemistry between you in the film is amazing...

We vibe so well in real life that it shows on screen. The relationship between the two characters is pretty much like the one all of us in the gang has. We always look at the lighter side of life. It is wonderful to be going through something that is nerve wracking and still laugh about it. It doesn't bother Prakash that he lost money in his previous film. In fact, he doesn't even think about cinema on arithmetic terms.

Have you not met anyone like him till now?

I have acted in about 40 films, and I have met people who are passionate about films. But I have not met anyone like Prakash Raj before.

When the story of Mozhi was narrated to you, what exactly attracted you?

I still remember after we did our first shot for Parijatham and were rewinding the shot on the monitor, he said, "We are making a film with Radhamohan as the director and I like you to be in the film. He told me that the film was about a musician falling in love with a deaf and dumb girl. That was enough for me. I said I would do it. Believe me, it is not everyday that someone offers you a role like this.
