I remember one particular shot (the last action sequence) where we had to fight with certain weapons while being suspended by two wires. I was worried I would injure him. Even Rajni was worried but thankfully, nothing untoward happened except for a few bruises. And all the while, he enquired about my comfort level and offered encouragements.
I really admired his stamina. He could act for long hours (even hang upside down) at this age. If he could do, I told myself, I could also do it.
We talked about many things -- family, career and so on. Actually, he would speak and I would listen.
One thing I noticed about him is his mastery over many subjects. He was sometimes philosophical, spiritual yet very practical. He has transformed into a modern guru. He would talk about destiny and karma, love, attachment and affection. He would say, "If you can't help people, don't. But do not harm them."
How the man became like this is still a puzzle. I listened to him a lot.
