Bart's best friend -- and his only faithful follower -- Milhouse is a nearsighted nerd utterly besotted by Lisa. An easy target for bullies, he's allergic to several food groups and despite the thick glasses, not very intelligent.

Springfield Elementary School's biggest bully, Nelson usually restricts himself to pointing and laughing -- with a now iconic double laugh. His father left Nelson and his mother when young, and the rough rebel keeps wishing Papa would return. Despite his ha-ha bravado, he comes up with disarmingly articulate quips on occasion and seems to possess real insight -- without knowing it.
