The world's funniest family, after spending 18 years on the small screen and becoming the longest running comedy series of all time, is finally coming to the big screen.
And before The Simpsons Movie releases, we decided to take a look at some of the major characters. The Simpson family itself has dumb everyman Homer, blue-haired housewife Marge, 10-year-old rebel Bart, 8-year-old activist Lisa, and pacifier-chewing baby Maggie. Here's a look at some other Springfield residents.
Ned Flanders
Voiced by: Harry Shearer
Nice to the point of babytalk, Ned is a pious Protestant trying to win the love of God by showering all he has on his fellow man. Next door neighbour to the Simpsons, Ned is a stickler for rules -- especially those derived from The Bible -- and it's near impossible to squash his faith in mankind. A widower (wife Maude died in Season 11) and closet Beatles devotee, he fathers Rod and Todd, two kids likely to grow up very confused.
