'Glamour isn't my cup of tea'

September 21, 2006
On Provoked (English)

I was familiar with the case Provoked looked at. As I had worked with Jagmohan Mundhra in Bawander, it was easy to work on Provoked. I don't have a very big role. Aishwarya Rai was cordial and nice, and we didn't have any problems.

On Padakkhep (Bengali)

I got an opportunity to act with stalwart Soumitra Chatterjee -- a wonderful actor and person. The director Suman Ghosh is also a very sincere person. The father-daughter relationship is explored well here, with me playing the daughter.

On Kerala (English/Malayalam)

I enjoyed shooting for this film helmed by Santosh Sivan. Shot in Munnar, it was produced by people in Los Angeles. Santosh is such a creative person that he would always surprise us while taking shots. One could never guess what he was up to. This film is set in colonial India and stars Linus Roache, Rahul Bose and Jennifer Ehle. It is another relationship-based film.
