On juggling roles
I enjoy acting. It's a different medium of communication. Through acting, directing, talking or working on an audio book, I reach out to a larger audience. For acting, one needs confidence, one has to be spontaneous. Interaction with people gives strength and helps one know the real world.
There is no dearth of issues in the country. I like to speak with the young and feel the urge to be a catalyst. My background has helped me. My parents lived life on their own terms. The school Sardar Patel Vidyalaya (where I studied) encouraged choices. When I worked with Safdar Hashmi, I met all kinds of people - it was inspiring. I am not an academician. I try and inspire people to question things, to ask.
