Producer Ajantha Raju is confident about Thangigaagi: "Darshan's body language, dialogue delivery and image has perfectly matched the hero's role in Thangigaagi. It looks as if Perarasu (director of the Tamil original, which starred Vijay) had written the script keeping Darshan in mind. The dialogues, the hero's dynamism and action sequences were the highlights of Tiruppachchi. All these strong points are there in Thangigaagi too. Darshan's fans will be overjoyed to see the film."
Director PN Sathya and Darshan have had three big hits together. The duo tasted success in Majestic, their first film together. Then came Daasa, an even bigger success. And finally there was Shashtri, with the most incredible box office take of all. Sathya hopes the new film will continue their increasing success record.
"Darshan has the rare ability to come good in comedy, fights and sentimental sequences," said the director. "He is the best action hero among the younger stars today. We were conscious of our reputation and have taken all efforts to make this a great entertainer."
