An epic love story

November 2, 2006
The producer, Madhu Bangarappa, son of former Karnataka chief minister S Bangarappa and owner of Akash Audio, is very happy that director Nagabharana has delivered what he has promised.

“He had told me that he would make a very good film set in a historical background in 54 days. He has done exactly that. Younger artists like Vijaya Raghavendra, Umashankari have vied with veterans like Anant Nag, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh and Sumalatha Ambareesh in giving their best. This competition has resulted in a high quality product and I am sure that Kallarali Hoovaagi will be a box office hit and it will also be critically appreciated,” Bangarappa said.

For Vijaya Raghavendra, who is right now riding on the success of Sevanthi Sevanthi, working with veteran artists and a director like Nagabharana was a dream come true. “Working in this film was a different but exciting experience. Our shooting would begin at 5 am and would go on till midnight. Still, our spirits were high and everyone associated with the film showed great energy levels. We shot during summer in the Chitradurga fort, yet none of the artists or technicians showed any sign of fatigue. Nagabharana led the team like a good captain.”
