You have chosen Ramya for your own film Jothe Jotheyalli, to be directed by your brother Dinakar.
It was left to Dinakar to pick the right heroine for his film, because he had written the script. My mother is the producer of Jothe Jotheyalli, though I have taken all the responsibility. I am also not the hero of the film and Ramya is paired with Prem. I am only doing a small role.
Despite being a top star, why did you prefer to make a film with another actor?
My brother wrote a story and he had narrated it to many of my friends. From my friends, I got the feedback that it was a good story. I know how difficult it is for an unproved, talented director to scout for a producer. So, I decided to back the project.
Dinakar chose the entire cast and crew and then told me I had to do a role which cannot be done by any other actor. I am playing the role of actor Darshan in the film!
