Darshan is ready with Datta

There are high expectations from Datta. What are your feelings?

I am really satisfied with the way Datta has shaped up. I have not yet seen the complete film yet but whatever portions I have seen during the dubbing have made me happy.

Datta has been a different experience for me as there is a higher level of focus on comedy sequences in the film. But Datta will have all the ingredients my fans expect. There are fights, thrills and songs -- which have been integral parts of all my films so far.

Writer Janardhana Maharshi and director Gurudatt have created a wonderful script, which is the most powerful element of the film.

You have had a number of hits with Rakshitha, but in Datta you are paired with Ramya.

I was supposed to work with Ramya in films like Swamy and Shashtri, but that did not work out. I suppose she was very busy and did not like to work with me then (laughs).

But thankfully every thing worked out well and Ramya is now part of this film. I think Gurudatt was chasing her more than me. Ramya has a very good, positive role in Datta and she has performed very well too. There is nothing new I can say about Rakshitha, our box-office record speaks for itself.
