Darshan is ready with Datta

Affectionately called the 'challenging star' by his fans, Darshan has created his own space in the Kannada film industry.

Hugely successful films like Majestic, Kariya, Daasa, Kalasipalya, Ayya and Shashtri have proved that Darshan is the undisputed action king. He is also one hero whose films are sold the moment they are launched.

Darshan's last three films Swamy, Mandya and Suntaragaali have made the producers happy. He is now busy shooting director P N Sathya's Thangigaagi, which is a remake of the Tamil Hit Thirupachchi.

As his next film, director Gurudatt's Datta, gets ready to hit theatres on June 1, Darshan -- who has not been as media savvy as his counterparts like Sudeep, Vijaya Raghavendra and Puneet Raj Kumar -- speaks to rediff.com
