Her life so far: Bree is a 'Stepford wife' whose life is like "a detergent commercial." Her marriage to Rex, a doctor, is failing as Rex likes...shall we say, things a little roughened up. She has two children -- a son, Andrew, who runs over Mama Solis after a drunken joy ride, and Danielle, who hates her mother and has her heart set on Gabrielle's gardener John.

Bree dated disaster when she started seeing a local pharmacist, George, to try and make her own adulterous husband jealous, which ended badly when he shot himself in the foot and then became obsessed with her. George gradually began plotting to do away with Rex by replacing his heart medication with potassium, which eventually killed him.

What to look out for in Season 2: Bree's already troubled rebel son Andrew confesses to be gay and, worse, vows to get revenge on his mother and destroy her world. Bree's daughter is in love with John and wants to lose her virginity to him.

Bree's mother-in-law and George William both have important roles to play this season. Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has hinted that her character will slowly descend into alcoholism. Trouble may be brewing because of Danielle's apparent closeness to Matthew Applewhite -- one of the new suspicious neighbours.
