In Telugu cinema, Gunnam Gangaraju is known as a sensitive filmmaker. A decade ago he wrote and directed Little Soldiers. Subsequently he produced films like Aithe and Anukokonda Oka Roju, which were different from mainstream, formulaic films.
His films -- as director and producer -- may not have set the box office afire, but they won the hearts of many with their content and treatment and are recalled fondly even today.
Now, Gangaraju is ready with Amma Cheppindi, slated to release on Friday, a heart-warming tale starring Suhasini, Pawan Malhotra, Sharwan and Shriya Reddy.
