How is this new phase in your career helping you?
If not for anyone else, my family members are extremely happy. I am sticking to the 9 to 6 schedule after which I go home. Even when we are shooting outdoors, I don't shoot after 6 pm unless absolutely necessary. I use the rest of the time to do some creative work. Particularly for my film Naa,
which takes most of my time.
When will you start Naa, which is it to be made under your own banner?
I can start it only after I finish my present assignments. Naa is certainly a dream project for me. The script has to be ready, as I cannot think of making it without a complete script. Not just the dialogues, the editing ideas, costumes, camera angles and re-recording compositions should be in my
mind before I take the first shot. I play seven roles in it. And, I am planning to shoot a particular sequence where all seven characters are seen walking on a busy street like M G Road. To realise such ideas requires a lot of paperwork. Even the music has to be different. I want a different style
of composition.
Does that mean you will take up acting projects only until work on Naa begins?
It will take some more time for Naa to shape up in my mind. Fr now, I have taken up a directorial assignment for a Telugu film producer. The film is titled Durga and will be a complete entertainer. I may start shooting in a few days.
