"I want to be known as an actor"

August 9, 2006
He wanted to be under the arc lights since he was a schoolboy. And he made it to tinsel town after graduation and some amount of struggling. With no godfathers to prop him up or a film family to boost him, Sharwanand has managed to find a foothold in an industry where fortunes fluctuate every week.

The young lad, who is passionate about acting, is slowly carving a niche for himself. After small and significant roles where he shared screen space with megastar Chiranjeevi and superstar Venkatesh, Sharwanand has slowly bagged good character roles. He has two back-to-releases -- Amma Cheppindi (July 28) and Veedhi (August 4) -- both with roles diametrically opposite to each other. Radhika Rajamani caught up with a slightly tense Sharwanand to discuss his new releases and the journey so far. Read on to discover the Telugu star.
