The Roving Eye Syndrome
In Ketan Mehta's adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary, he cast wife Deepa Sahi to play a perennially dissatisfied but utterly enigmatic lady looking for sexual pleasure in guy after guy, despite marriage and baby. It is as if she cheats out of boredom.
Indistinct, even if interesting, Maya Memsaab (right) didn't leave a lasting impact. It is probably best known for an inconsequential Shah Rukh Khan appearance in one of his earliest films.
Adultery hits Salman Khan as he falls hook, line and sinker in seconds the minute Sushmita Sen gives him the eager eye in Biwi No 1. Obviously, Kanjeevaram clad-wife Karisma Kapoor is most displeased. Sallu then does the unthinkable, leaves her and their children to be with the leggy Sush. But David Dhawan is at the helm, so he makes you actually feel sorry for Sallu in the end when he delivers a sobbing apology.
