Infidelity is one of the many reasons that spoils the party (or at least it does in the movies).

For decades, Hindi films have incorporated infidelity in plots to demonstrate marital woes on celluloid.

The issue is back on screen with Karan Johar's pretty-looking picture of unhappily married individuals (Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji) finding an ideal match in each other.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, which releases on Friday, August 11, tells the story of this affair and its repercussions on their respective partners (Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan).

A perfect time, we thought, to look at how Bollywood handles close encounters of the illicit kind!
