How were you convinced to take up this role?

I got a detailed narration from Leena. I prefer to work with a bound script and narration. I did not do this film because of any conditions. It was very inspiring to interact with a director who was so well prepared.

Pritish Nandy was discussing quite a few scripts with me. One day, he told me he had the perfect script for me. I was looking something different. I know it is an often used word, but that is the reality. We actors are in constant search of doing something different.

He brought Leena across and she gave me a detailed narration.

She had done a lot of homework. I said yes immediately. By the grace of God, everything fell in place.

Tell us about the shooting experience.

It was intense. It was done in a little more than a month. We had given them a limited number of dates. Sanju gave them 20 days and I gave them 35. Kudos to PNC (Pritish Nandy Communications, the producer) and Leena, who made Shabd in this situation.
