Do you think Indian society will accept a man telling his wife to have an affair?

This is just one dimension, not the entire film. It is not blatant as that. It is about a writer who is oscillating between his thoughts and the real world. It is about the way he lives his life and what he thinks about it. It is about how the mind works and how it spills over to reality -- how it governs the matters of heart. It is very complex.

Leena Yadav, the director, has chosen all aspects of life. She has spoken through the visuals as well.

When you watch the film, you will realise that it fits. It is the way my husband sees me in the film. You, as my audience, must recognise the actor in me. I don't need to do things to draw attention. I didn't do that in the beginning and I don't need to do that at this stage in my career.

As an actor, I want to portray different characters. Last month, the promos of Raincoat and Shabd were played together for audiences. I have to be true to my characters. My characters Neeru (Raincoat) and Antara (Shabd) are as the directors perceive them.
