Udayananu Thaaram, directed by Roshan Andrews, is the best example of how a satire ought to be made. The star of the film is scriptwriter Srinivasan, who wrote the best piece of his entire career: subtle, mature, honest and brilliant.

Mohanlal's performance as Udayan was brilliant, but the success of the film lay in its script and all of Kerala applauded Srinivasan for that. Rightly so.
