Rajamanikam, directed by Anwar Rashid, is definitely not the best Malayalam film. It is certainly a very important film though, considering it is one of the biggest hits in the history of Malayalam cinema.

Mammootty broke the myth that he could not do comedy roles. He was simply hilarious as Rajamanikkam, speaking in the Trivandrum lingo that was solely Mohanlal's forte until now.
