My character sings a lot of classical songs and alaaps. Gurinder made me sing because I am trained in classical music (Meghna's mother Rita Ganguly is a reputed classical singer and a winner of the Padma Shri.).

My moment in the film is the nagin dance. That was very dear to Gurinder. It was her tribute to Sridevi.

Working with Aishwarya Rai was great. She did not crib even once, even though she was so overworked. I had played the heroine in Prem Aggan and was there in almost every frame. So I knew what she went through. Ash was always on time, always happy and well-mannered.

I remember the song we four sisters in the film had to sing. Ash and me were hugging and swinging around. For a moment, I lost my balance because I got lost looking into her eyes!

Suddenly, I thought of Devdas and Ash on that jhula. She is so gorgeous; for a moment, I was taken aback.

On Sundays, the girls would go out shopping or eat out. But Ash did not join us because she was too overworked. On Sundays, she would take guitar lessons for this film.

Anupam Kher is very funny, and would keep everyone entertained. We would play word building games, Dumb Charades and all that in our free time.

Hollywood actors are very intense and have their own style of acting. For example, we do dance sequences very quickly. But they don't know how to go about the dance sequences, how the song would be cut, etc

Besides, if we do a scene, which requires a close-up shot of the speaker, we don't need someone to stand opposite us for eye contact, if they are not in the frame. But foreign actors need that particular costar to stand opposite them for eye contact and to feel right.

We can do an entire romantic scene without someone standing opposite us and get away with it. But they want to effectively fall in love. So Martin (Henderson) would want Ash to stand in front of him, even if he was giving a close up, and she was not in the frame.
