The award for Best Actress in a Sensational Role went to Rani Mukherji, who turned up dressed in a crimson ghaghra-choli, for her role as a young wife in Saathiya. Esha Deol took the honours for best female debutante.

The guests included Dr Sanjay Gupta, CNN's medical correspondent, former Q&A host Riz Khan, New York-based designer Alia Khan, actress Kiron Kher and producer Pritish Nandy, MP, among others.
