Chhal [Donnie Brasco]

Hansal Mehta followed up his disastrous Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar with another thunderous failure. The filmmaker seemed eager to cash in on the Satya formula and borrowed the plot of novel-turned-film Donnie Brasco for this purpose.

The pre-publicity and promos built up too many hopes about this cop infiltrating the underworld caper. Despite impressive performances from Kay Kay and newcomer Prashant Narayanan, there was little to write home about Chhal.
