Vijay Anand, who writes, directs and edits the film, has a surprising degree of narrative skill and is responsible for creating the romantic image for his elder brother Dev.

Love thy neighbour. That is Tere Ghar Ke Samne's lesson. India has strained relations with neighbour China. A pacifist slogan, Hindi-Chini bhai bhai, attempts to improve the situation... and inspires a film. However, the audiences miss the metaphor altogether. That, perhaps, is how it is intended.
