Dev Anand's production house, Navketan, makes films that satirise and reconstitute generic styles like those of Frank Capra and John Huston. Vijay Anand, who writes, directs and edits the film, has a surprising degree of narrative skill and is responsible for creating the romantic image for his elder brother Dev.
