From Pench to Baghira Log Huts
Soon it was time to leave. On our way back we saw a white-wattled Lapwing family.

Seeing us approaching this bird started the peculiar tee-ee-tit, tee-ee-tit sound. An Indian Roller sat quietly on a nearby tree top watching us as we bid adieu to Pench.

Our next destination was Kanha, famous for its wildlife and considered as one of the safest havens for tigers in the country.

We left for Kanha the next day. It is about 200 km away via Seoni, Nainpur and Chiraidongri.

The road was more or less good except for a few bad patches. It was well past noon by the time we reached Kisli via Khatia.

We had to stop to show our booking documents at MP Tourism's Baghira Log Huts.

Since the Log Hut is located inside the Kanha National Park no one is allowed to enter without a booking slip.
