Maravanthe: A quiet beach getaway
From Mangalore, we boarded a local bus to Kundapur, about 15 km from Maravanthe.
We got off at Trasi, and took a rickshaw (fare: Rs 20) to the resort.
• Airfare for Rs 599 and less!
The resort was clean and quite peaceful. The food was good too. The beach is 50 metres from the resort's boundary wall.
The stretch along the highway that has the Arabian Sea on one side and the Sauparnika river on the other, and one which makes Maravanthe a must-visit, is just 1 km from the resort.
