The magic and mystery of Arunachal Pradesh

In the midst of tall mountains, this lake was wonderful to view. On our way back, we visited about 350-year-old Tawang monastery known as Galden Namgyel Lhatse or celestial paradise. This monastery, perched atop a ridge is one of the oldest and largest in Asia. The image of Buddha in the monastery was brought from Tibet.

On our return journey we had halted at Dirang, a small town between Tawang and Bomdila. Dirang had apple orchards, hot springs and a yak research centre. A night spent at the tourist lodge at Dirang seemed a great option for our next trip.
