santhosh asked, hi am in lve with a gal who is rich. her parents agreed for our marriage, but not my parents. They feel too rich gal may spoils my family and make me to run individual family inspite of being with parents. Though gals parents refused of such things to happen i cud not convince my parents..... what shal i do. For gals parents gals happiness is imprtant. though my parents too feel the same but in a diferent way pls helpme n advise

Love Guru answers, Your parents seem to be rather narrow-minded. Granted, it may be difficult for your gal to adjust to a less lavish lifestyle, but they don't even want to give her a chance! And your parents should also understand that once you are married, your wife is your main priority! That does not mean they will be deserted! They have a selfish way of thinking indeed, putting petty needs before their son's happiness. Stand by your girl and tell your parents that they'll just have to accept it!

geeta asked, hi love guru, we had a 3.5 yrs of relationship. he fought wid his mother for me in sep'06. now he says he don want to continue the relationsih. he's set his mind for the break. he informed about this in d last week. even he knows dat i can't stay w/o him, n same is d case wid him. our's a long distance relationship. now also he talks to me like previously. i asked him to meet personally n den decide on it. but he's continously sayin it wouldn't help. actly main problem is dat, he fought wid his mother to convince her bout me, den he asked me to do d same wid my dad, i told its too early to ask dad as my elder sister is der to get married. now he's tellin he don've any confidence on me. please love guru suggest me, wat can i do. i already convinced my parents bout him.

Love Guru answers, Geeta, my dear, if you have already convinced your parents what is your boyfriend's problem? Long distance relationships are difficult and this guy doesn't seem very stable. Don't run after him too much -- tell him that if he doesn't decide what he wants now, you will move on. If he really loves you, he will stick on -- if not, know that he doesn't deserve you and move on in life.

HeartAttack asked, Love Guru, A very common occurrence but still need your help; I was in relationship with a girl and recently we decided to part our ways. But after parting I can't get over her. Unable to think of anyone else. what should I do?

Love Guru answers, Your case sounds more like heart break than heart attack! In any case, my friend, you need to give yourself some time...the first month after a breakup is always the worst. But the good news is, it does get better. I promise you, if you keep yourself in a positive state of mind, within three months you will be able to concentrate more on your own life than on your ex.

ssingh asked, Guruji ,Namaskar. married for last 12 years , last year my wife wants to leave me without any solid reason.Kindly advise me .

Love Guru answers, No reason? I hardly think someone would end a marriage for no reason. Either your wife is fed up of her life with you, or has found someone else -- the reason could be anything. In any case, ask yourself why she feels this way and try to address the problem. If she is unwilling to talk, tell her straight that after 12 years of marriage, the very least she can do for you is give you an honest answer.

kirankumar asked, my girlfriend is not talking with me since a month.when i dials she cuts the phone i did not know the reason why she is behaving like this

Love Guru answers, Man, does she sound like a hothead! Well, you'll just have to confront this girl in person. And if you really have no clue why she's behaving like this, she needs to tell you. Meet her in person and tell her she cannot just avoid you for the rest of her life, so she should stop behaving like an unreasonable coward and should have the decency to at least tell you why she's doing this!

seema asked, hi...my bf and i had a great relation some one year bk,,,we know each other for 3 years now. initially everything was fine between us,only prob was my family which was against this relation,they forced me to break up wid him,,,which i tearfully did and broke his heart. But later i managed to convince my parents, but by that time he was gone...i finally located him n apologised,he reluctantly agreed.so gradually we came together again. But this time nothing seemed like the same as befor...he was not so passionate and caring...he never trusted me again even though i luv him soooo much and cant live without him. now hw has a job far away from me n he is or seems toooo busy with it. we dont talk much...im so depressed...pltell me how i can get him back to loving me again?

Love Guru answers, Well, try to see it from his perspective -- you were forced to choose between your parents and him and you chose your parents. He probably feels -- rightly enough -- that if your parents had not agreed you would not have gone back to him. This is your fault, Seema. If you really couldn't live without him, you could have proved it by standing by him. You didn't and now he doesn't value your love as much. You need to tell him that you made a mistake. And that you'll be by his side no matter what, for the rest of your life -- whether your parents or anybody else approves or not!

king asked, i met a girl who never told me she had a bf when we had first met. soon i did find out about her relationship. but it was too late for me. i had already fallen for her. i even told her about it. in the next months we got really close and became very good friends. now her bf wants her to leave me. what should i do?

Love Guru answers, What should you do? Nothing, darling -- the question is, what does this girl want to do? Does she feel for you the same way? Then why is she still with this boyfriend of hers? Maybe she really loves him, but is just enjoying attention from you. Whatever the case, either she leaves him to get together with you, or then you're the unwelcome thorn in the side of their relationship.
