Fashion gurus recommend the nude look for daytime -- basic makeup with matt finish.

"To achieve the nude look, one should choose a lipstick shade slightly darker than the colour of their lips," says Kumar.

Dusky maroon or pink are good shades for the daytime and for work.

For night outings, go for the glossy look. Shades of wine and light brown are good options. Just dab on some lip balm or gloss to achieve the shiny look
