Too much of embroidery, exaggerated accessories, too much makeup, excess in hair style and colour, etc, is out. Simplicity is the way to go. Elegance always follows it closely.

The idea of simplicity is to strike a balance between clothes and accessories -- if you're wearing a heavily embroidered kurta or top, tone it down with simple basic accessories.

Teaming an embroidered kurta with heavy jewellery or an embroidered shoe or handbag is just overdoing it. Each item will clash instead of merging together to produce a great look or outfit.
