Tacky footwear

Most women pay great attention to their clothing but ignore footwear. A great ensemble can be ruined if you don't wear the right footwear.

"Heels are always a great choice; even half an inch of heel does wonders for a woman's posture," said Narendra Kumar.

Here are some tips on choosing the right footwear for different outfits.

~ With trousers that are on the formal side, blocks and platforms footwear are passé. Opt for shoes that have a narrow heel and a sharper toe. Never wear sports shoes or floaters with trousers, especially to work.

~ Flats or flip-flops go well with casual wear like capris or any calf-length outfits (skirts). Flats or flats with straps also look good with flared peasant skirts.

~ Heels (an inch or more) are perfect for flared trousers.

~ Medium heels are good for narrow-bottom trousers and A-line skirts.

~ You can wear different kinds shoes with denims. If you want a sporty look, go for sneakers. But if you're wearing jeans for a night out, then medium to high heels are a good choice.

Ankle length boots go well with denim but are more appropriate for the winter.

~ Kolhapuris are very in right now. They are the best option for any ethnic outfits like salwar-kameezes or saris.

Medium heels also go well with Indian wear.
