Marsh gets going in style, driving a glorious boundary to get off the mark. A clever change of pace follows, and Marsh defends solidly, then does so again toward cover. He responds with a massive six, showcasing his power. He shoulders arms to the next delivery, and then taps one gently with some hesitation before finally taking off for a quick single.
A solid start for LSG -11 runs off the first over without loss.
Harsh Dubey is thrown into the action straight away on his IPL debut - and he nearly strikes with his very first delivery. He floats one wide outside off, and Marsh looks to slap it away but only manages a bottom edge. It's a tough, low chance for Ishan Kishan behind the stumps, who tries to trap it between his legs, but can't hold on.
Marsh makes up for it with a towering six off the next ball, followed by a solid defensive shot. A single brings Markram on strike, who gets off the mark with a quick run. Marsh blocks out the final delivery.
A tidy start for the debutant, 8 runs off the over.
