For long in India, terrorism, cross-border, ISI-sponsored, went hand in hand.
Even the man spearheading the 'war of terror' certified that he is awed by the fact that not a single Indian is involved in any terrorist activity across the world.
All that changed this year.
The Samjhauta Express. Mecca Masjid. Lumbini Park. Gokul Chat. Ludhiana. Ajmer. Varanasi. Faizabad. Lucknow.
India stood stunned, exposed, ashamed and guilty. But it never for a moment thought Indians could do it.
Even the hawks thought twice before alleging 'the foreign hand' after these blasts.
Confirmation, if any was needed, came in the form of an attack on British soil. Indian-origin doctors in the United Kingdom had allegedly planned and orchestrated the biggest attack on British soil since July 7, 2005.
The homebred terrorist was born. And India still has not come to terms with it.
