The world's only existential superhero went Shakespearean in this brilliant reworking of the Spiderman mythos: Peter Parker is going through a dilemma where all that he touches goes awry. Everything seems to centre around what is increasingly becoming, to him, that accursed Spider-suit.
He decides to give it up, and this couldn't be worse timed. A brand new, lethal villain is created, and it is none other than his genius mentor of sorts. Then starts the whole Spidey shebang: complete with b-movie screaming, kidnapped girlfriends, romance, and hundreds of geeky comic book referenced jokes.
Film of the year? Hell, yeah!
