Motwani is the joint managing director of Kinetic Engineering Ltd and managing director of Kinetic Finance.

She has played a pivotal part in transforming the Kinetic Group from a niche moped manufacturer into a maker of a full range of two-wheelers. She has also been instrumental in designing and executing the marketing plans and the business strategy of the company.

A merit list ranker in the SSC examination and the Maharashtra state topper in the Higher Secondary Examination, she stood second in Pune University for her undergraduate degree. She holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.

Before joining Kinetic, she worked with BARRA International, an American investment analytics company, based in California for four years. She also set up BARRA's Indian operations when she returned to India.

She has been featured as a 'Business Face of the Millennium' by India Today and was awarded Society magazine's Young Achiever's Award for Business in 2002.
