In the men's 800m, Rajeev Ramesan (right) and Sajeesh Joseph (centre) opted for leading strategy to win the race but faded out in the lap due to pressure from Bahrain's Kamal Yusuf Saad.
Kamal clocked 1:48.03s to equal the championship record. Iran's Ehsan won first medal for Iran with silver place in 1:48.68s while Masato Yokota of Japan took bronze in 1:49.30.
India's Ramesan finished fourth with 1:49.46s.
Om Prakash, participating in his maiden Indoor competition, earned silver medal for India and first continental championship medal for himself in the final of Men's Shot Put with a throw of 18.37m.
PJ Vinod won the heptathlon gold for India.
Vinod scored 5561 points to win the gruesome Indoor heptathlon contest. Sephrzad Hadi of Iran finished on second place with 5515 points while Hiromasa Tanaka of Japan took bronze with 5306 points.
