Second seed Rafael Nadal saw off Briton Andy Murray 6-7, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 in an epic night match to reach the Australian Open quarter-finals on Monday.
The Spaniard absorbed everything the 19-year-old Murray threw at him in a pulsating clash on Rod Laver Arena that finished after nearly four hours just before 0200 local time.
"Andy is playing at an unbelievable level now," Nadal told a news conference. He changed tactics all the time which made it very difficult. It was a very important match for me."
