Close on Beckham's heels is his England teammate, Wayne Rooney.
The 'Shrek', who burst onto the football scene during Euor 2004 in Greece, has quickly grown in stature during the stint at Manchester United.
Rooney, 20, recently signed a record book deal agreeing to write five books over the next 12 years. British media reported the deal with HarperCollins was worth at least five million pounds.
His colourful off-pitch antics -- including visits to brothels -- have also made him a regular fixture on the tabloid front pages, where he is often pictured with his girlfriend Coleen.
