Theo Walcott, barely 17, is the youngest participant in this tournament.
Of West Indian descent, striker Walcott is the youngest English player in any World Cup. He was a surprise inclusion as Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen were still recovering from injuries.
The teenager, who has been dating tabloid favourite Melanie Slade for the last two years, reportedly earns one million pounds a year as player with north London football club Arsenal.

One of the most famous 17 year olds in World Cup history was a baby-cheeked Brazilian lad named Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Better known as Pele.
