They come in all sizes!
Grand old men
World Cup 2006 has plenty of verging on middle-age talent who may not show up at South Africa in 2010.
David Beckham will be 35 at the next Cup. Zinedine Zidane will be 37. Ronaldo will be 34. Michael Ballack will be 34.
Have YOU joined a football team yet?
Will they be there?
Who knows? Don't forget, the popular Cameroon striker Roger Milla was 42 at World Cup 1994, and he did some of his best footwork after 38.
And what about the oldie-goldies today in Germany?
The oldest player in Germany for this cup is Tunisian goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel (left in green). He turned 40 in April. Boumnijel got his Number One shirt when he was 36.
And Trinidad and Tobago's Russell Latapy and Mexican Claudia Suarez are both 37.
