Sania, with a heavily strapped right elbow, returns the ball during the first round match.
The Indian failed to find any consistency during the match and was beaten in an hour and 28 minutes.
Sania had made the headlines at the Dubai Open last year when she beat the then US Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova
